How does PIH spend my donation?

The majority of our donors want their gifts to be used wherever the need is greatest. This allows PIH the flexibility to use resources as efficiently as possible and to fund areas of our work that are not addressed by targeted donations. PIH’s financial records are available to the public, and we conform to the highest accounting and financial standards.

I want to hold a fundraiser or awareness-raising event. How do I start?

Please think about who you want to get involved in this project, and what is the best way to reach those people. Are you part of a club at your school, a book club, or a faith-based community? Working to engage a group you are already involved is an excellent way to get started. Then think about what type of event you’d like to hold – we have had friends and supporters run every type of event in the past, from rummage sales to kickball tournaments to movie nights to community reading programs. We welcome your creativity!

When you have decided on your event, register it here: act.himsprescription.com. If you make it a public event, other PIH supporters will be able to find this event. You can also create a fundraising page for your event so you can track donations made by friends and attendees.

Where can I find a tax receipt for my donation?

If you gave an online donation*, you can login to view, download, and print your tax receipts for online donations here: http://act.himsprescription.com/page/recurring/find/. If you gave a donation via check, money order, transfer of stock or cash, and supplied PIH with your address information (either on the check or accompanying your donation), we will mail a tax receipt to that address, usually 3-4 weeks following your donation. During the holidays and other times of increased volume this may increase.

*Partners In Health switched its online donation system on July 1, 2009. If you made your online donation on or prior to June 30, 2009, please visit https://my.entango.com/donor/ to retrieve your receipt.
